My Transplant Story

Hi my name is Usher Moseley. I am from Huntsville, Alabama. I'm 27 years old and was diagnosed at the age of 3 months with Cystic Fibrosis. Growing up with CF was very hard but I was always outgoing, trying to make the most of my life. I started having a lot of problems in my early twenties. My breathing was down and it seemed like I was in the hospital every 2 weeks. I got a virus that almost took my life, but my grandfather was watching over me. Years later I crashed and was on life support for 9 days; I must have had an angel watching over me.
After that, my wife, April, and I decided to go to Duke Hospital. We had heard nothing but good things about it. I received my lungs on 03-29-2006. It’s been a year now; it has been rough but I made a lot of friends who helped me through all of this including my parents and my wife. We are moving back to Alabama now, but we will miss all of you and the doctors who we have become close friends to. Here are some pictures of me. Take care and God bless.
